Part
of the new Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP), LEADER is aimed at
promoting economic and community development within rural areas. The current
LEADER Programme will run from 2008-2013 and will encourage new and experimental
approaches to rural development.
The SRDP and LEADER are
funded by the Scottish Government and the European Commission. For
advice on eligibility or those considering submitting an application for LEADER
funds please

help and look forward to discussing your ideas with you and your group. WHAT
IS LEADER? The
main aim of LEADER is to increase the capacity of local rural community and
business networks to build knowledge and skills, innovate and co-operate in
order to tackle local development objectives. Moray
has been allocation £1,440,000 of LEADER funds and £400,000 of Convergence
funds for the Moray Leader Programme 2008-2013.
