First Ever Festival Draws the Crowds

The first ever Moray Environmental Festival, sponsored by Diageo and HIE Moray and organised by the Council, took place in March this year.  A wide range of groups and individuals attended the event representing various waste and environmental organisations including MacDuff Marine Aquarium, Green Cone, The Real Nappy Project, Rural Environmental Action Project, SEPA, Moray Council Planning Department, SCARF and many more!

There were practical workshops for children of school age and two free screenings of the film, 'The Inconvenient Truth', produced by AL Gore, the former Vice President of the United States.  Over 700 people, young and old, flocked to the event and everybody is already looking forward to the next one!
