Working Together for a Healthier Grampian
A partnership event organised by Jobcentre Plus, NHS Grampian and the Scottish Government.
Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre - Tuesday 18th March 2008
On Tuesday 18th March Jobcentre Plus, NHS Grampian and the Scottish Government are holding a conference at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre for senior staff in health, social work and employability.
The aim of the event is to promote and underline the benefits employment can have on the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. By helping people to enter, remain and re-enter the workforce we can help reduce health inequalities, poverty and improve economic performance.
The conference will also promote the launch of a new integrated advice and support service for GP Practices. This new service will provide an easier, quicker and more effective route for GPs, healthcare professionals and patients to access the services that can support a return to work.
The conference will be attended by senior managers involved in planning and delivering services to address health improvement and reducing health inequalities, and by practice managers and healthcare professionals who work with patients of working age.
The keynote speakers for the event will be David Cameron, Chairman for NHS Grampian and Dr Lesley Wilkie, Director of Public Health for NHS Grampian.
To book your place at this important conference, please e-mail Carla Johnson carlajohnson@nhs.net
